SAMPLE CONSIGNMENT CONTRACT

Thank you for consigning your items with Something for Your Dust (SFYD). SFYD hopes to make the consignment experience rewarding.

I_________________, the consignor, understand that I am fully responsible for merchandise I consign at SFYD. I understand that SFYD is not responsible for the theft, loss, or damage of these items. I certify that the items consigned were, at time of consignment, in the attached described conditions.

The consignment period begins on _____________, and will last for 90 days. At the conclusion of the consignment period, the consignor has the option to renew the contract for an additional period of 90 days. If the consignor chooses not to renew the contract, merchandise must be picked up within seven (7) days of the consignment end date. Merchandise not picked up within seven (7) days of the consignment period end date shall be considered abandoned and will become the property of Something for Your Dust. SFYD may sell or dispose of abandoned items after the expiration of the contract. Maximum consignment length is 180 days. This contract is renewable once.

I understand that Something for Your Dust will make a concerted effort to sell my items but that SFYD makes no guarantee those items will sell in the contract period. Pricing of the items will be determined by Something for Your Dust and may be repriced at any time at the discretion of SFYD. Something for Your Dust pays 50 percent of the actual sale price to the consignor. Artist and artisan rates may vary and are determined at the point of consignment.

Checks for sold items will be available on the 15th of every month. The consignor will check in with Something for Your Dust to see if their item(s) have sold. SFYD will not contact the consignor if the item has sold. I understand that, if I do not pick up my check within 90 days of the end of my consignment date, all moneys will be forfeited to Something for Your Dust. Checks can be mailed to the consignor for a $1.00 service charge.
