FAQ
When are you open?
Summer 2020. We are now open with reduced hours. Thank you for your patience and support!
MON-WED: CLOSED
THURS-SAT: 10-5
SUN: 11-5
PLEASE CHECK IN ON INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK FOR NEW ITEMS DAILY.
Where do you get your inventory?
From all over: estate sales, auctions, clean outs, and from customers like you! We also carry art and goods by local artisans, as well as some new gift items from home decor wholesalers.
Do you take consignments?
Not usually, no. But we might be interested in purchasing your items. Please send photos of your items, as well as the price you would like to get for them to Dan at somethingforyourdust@gmail.com. If we are interested, we will get back to you as soon as we can! In very rare instances, Dan may propose that we consign the item at a 50/50 split.
Can you look at my items in person?
Possibly. If you have a large number of items that you would like Dan to look at, please email somethingforyourdust@gmail.com or call the shop at 508-746-2203 to set up an appointment for him to come take a look.
I'd just rather bring my stuff down to the shop...
Please do not bring items to the shop without first making an appointment with Dan. And, NEVER EVER EVER leave items in the shop when Dan is not there. We don't want anything to get lost or broken, and we cannot be responsible for items left with anyone other than Dan. So please, please, please make an appointment before you bring anything down.
On what days can I make an appointment?
In-shop appointments are made for Wednesdays and Thursdays, but we may be able to fit you in before the shop opens on other days. House calls will be made before or after shop hours, or on Mondays or Tuesdays at the convenience of both Dan and the seller.
What kind of items are you interested in buying?
The type of items we buy shifts depending on what we have in stock, and also with the needs and interests of our customers. We will always take a look, though, if you have the following:
-
Antique wood furniture -- of all types -- in good/excellent condition
-
Vintage cameras and lenses
-
Manual typewriters
-
Antique trunks or steamers
-
Vintage suitcases
-
Crates, wooden boxes, tins
-
Items from Plymouth and the surrounding towns: maps, books, signs, souvenirs
-
Marine antiques
-
Paintings and other original art
Is there anything you won't buy?
Yes, unfortunately there is. We have a small shop, so we do have space constraints. There also are some lovely things that are, sadly, out of fashion and we just can't sell. We are not looking for:
-
Upholstered furniture, including sofas and loveseats
-
Large dining sets
-
Rocking chairs
-
Clear glass or crystal
-
China
-
Flatware
-
Prints
Do you do appraisals?
No, unfortunately, we do not.
Do you sell online?
We do sell some vintage items online through our Etsy shop.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we take all major credit cards, as well as personal checks (with appropriate ID) and cash. We also accept PayPal in our Etsy shop.
What is your return policy?
All sales are final. However, if something is broken or defective, we will accept returns within 7 days of purchase for store credit.
